I had the pleasure of meeting and talking to Amy Pham, a second year student at CSULB. She is also a health science major and aspires to be a part of the medical field in the future. For our Classmate Question OTW, we were asked to describe what the College Experience will be like for a student in 2036. Amy’s view on it was that there would be more online classes, no more hard copy assignments since everything would be online, new technology that excel beyond the brands today, increase tuition, more diversity, and new buildings that reflect very abstract or otherwise, very functional states. My view was agreed here and there. I thought that there would be hikes in tuition, higher taxes, and a growing number of sleep deprived students in the future. I also pondered the notion of hover-boards that would actually fly in the air as people could be restructuring their everyday tasks on a more futuristic level, similar to the film Back to the Future. Amy and I laughed and joked about that cute idea and I thought it was great meeting her.
